When checking the Amp Unit:
• Place the sub chassis unit on top of the rubber sheet
and cloth. (Fig. 11)
• Put the amp unit together with the heat sink upright
and check. (Fig. 11)
• Reconnect all cables (connectors) that have been dis-
connected. Be sure to use the extension cable before
servicing the following section.

• When connecting the flexible flat cable, be careful
with polarity.
• In main unit, the ground of sub chassis unit and amp
unit is connected to the main unit. When this sub
chassis unit and amp unit are removed from main unit,
connect the ground to the main unit, using a ground
lead or the like. (Fig. 11)

アンプユニットをチェックをする場合には：
・ サブシャーシユニットをゴムシートと布の上に置きま
す。 （Fig. 11）
・ アンプユニットはヒートシンクといっしょに立てて
チェックします。 （Fig. 11）
・ 外したケーブル （コネクター） をすべて接続します。た
だし次の区間は、サービス用延長ケーブルを使用して
ください。

・ フラットケーブルを接続する際、極性に注意してくだ
さい。
・ 本機ではサブシャーシユニットおよびアンプユニット
のアースが本機に接続されています。サブシャーシユ
ニットおよびアンプユニットを本機より取り外した場
合は、アース線等でアースを本機に接続してくださ
い。 （Fig. 11）

I UPDATING FIRMWARE / ファームウェアの書き込み
Note) Updating the firmware will initialize parameters,
system memory, tuner presetting, etc. to the origi-
nal factory settings.
When replacing the following parts, be sure to write the
latest firmware.
P.C.B. Ass'y DSP, FUNCTION, D-VIDEO or NET P.C.B.s
IC540 (DSP (TI) flash ROM) of DSP P.C.B.
IC402 (Main microprocessor) of FUNCTION P.C.B.
IC181 (Video flash ROM) of D-VIDEO P.C.B.
* The IC613 (NET flash ROM) of NET P.C.B. is not
supplied as a replacement part.
There are 3 ways to write the firmware.
• Writing method using the USB:
USB flash memory can be used for writing.
• Writing method using PC (RS232C):
PC can be used for writing.
* When NET P.C.B. is replaced, it is not possible to
write the data by using the PC (RS232C).
• Writing method using USER mode:
It is possible to write only the latest firmware.

• USB flash memory
• Firmware (RXV3800-xxxx.bin)
G Operation procedures
1. Download the latest firmware from the specified
download source to PC.
2. Copy the latest firmware into the root folder of the
USB flash memory.
Note) When the firmware is copied into the
sub-folder, it is not possible to write
data in it.
3. Connect the power cable of main unit to the AC
outlet.
4. Press the "MASTER ON/OFF" key of the main
u n i t w h i l e s i m u l t a n e o u s l y p r e s s i n g t h e
"STRAIGHT" key of the main unit. Then the AD-
VANCED SETUP mode is activated. (Fig. 1)
注意） ファームウェアの書き込みを行うと、音場プログラ
ムのパラメーターやシステムメモリー、チューナー
プリセット等はすべて工場出荷時に初期化されま
す。
下記の部品をサービス部品に交換した場合、最新のファー
ムウェアの書き込みを行ってください。
P.C.B. ASSY ：DSP、FUNCTION、D-VIDEO、NET
DSP P.C.B. ：IC540 （DSP （TI） フラッシュROM）
FUNCTION P.C.B.：IC402 （メインマイコン）
D-VIDEO P.C.B. ：IC181 （ビデオフラッシュROM）
※ NET P.C.B.のIC613 （ NET フラッシュROM） はサー
ビス部品として供給できません。
ファームウェアを書き込む方法は3通りあります。
・ USBを使用して書き込む方法：
USBフラッシュメモリーを使用して書き込みを行うこ
とができます。
・ PC （RS232C） を使用して書き込む方法：
PCを使用して書き込みを行うことができます。
※ NET P.C.B.を交換した場合、PC （RS232C） での
書き込みはできません。
・ ユーザーモードで書き込む方法：
最新のファームウェアの書き込みのみを行うことがで
きます。
USBを使用して書き込む方法
● 必要なツール
・ USBフラッシュメモリー
・ ファームウェア （RXV3800-xxxx.bin）
● 操作方法
1. PCへ指定のダウンロード先から最新のファーム
ウェアをダウンロードしてください。
2. 最新のファームウェアをUSBフラッシュメモリー
のルートフォルダにコピーします。
注意） ファームウェアをサブフォルダにコピーし
た場合、書き込みできません。
3. 本機の電源コードをACコンセントに接続します。
4. 本機の "STRAIGHT" キーを押しながら、 "MASTER
ON/OFF" キーを押し、アドバンスドセットアップ
を起動します。 （Fig. 1）
