Using a Printer

Parallel Port

Power off your computer
Do not shut down using the suspend* or hibernation mode.
* With Windows 2000, the "Suspend" is called "Standby".

Connect the printer to your computer

Turn on the printer, then turn on your computer with the
LCD panel opened

Setting your printer
Go to [Start] - [Settings] - [Control Panel] - [Printers]. Find your printer's
icon, double-click on it, and click [Printer] - [Set As Default Printer]. If no
icon is available, select [Add Printer] and then follow the on-screen in-
structions.
NOTE
You may need to install a driver for your printer. Follow the on-
screen instructions and refer to the operation manual of the printer
on how to install the driver.
Confirm whether or not the setting for the [Parallel Port] in the
Setup Utility is optimal. (
