CAPTURING IMAGES
Photography in the Auto Capture Mode [
Your camera provides for single-image capture, continuous image capture, and
automatic exposure bracketing. It is equipped with both an optical viewfinder and a
1.5" full color TFT LCD monitor to compose images. Capturing images using the
optical viewfinder without the image LCD will conserve battery power. If your
battery is low, it is recommended to compose images by using the optical viewfinder.
The LCD monitor can help you accurately compose the pictures and examine all
details. However, this will consume more battery power. Always use the LCD
display for macro shots.

Using the Viewfinder

1. Turn the camera on by pressing the POWER
button.
2. Set the mode dial to [
3. Compose your shot in the viewfinder.
Turn the "diopter adjustment dial" until the
image appears clearly within the viewfinder.
4. Press the shutter button down halfway to set
exposure and focus, then press down fully to
capture the image.
The viewfinder LED indicator lights red
while the camera is processing and saving
an image.
Note:
You may record a voice memo just after still-
image capture. You may record up to 10 seconds.
To terminate recording, press the shutter button
down fully.
