    1. SEND MODES • Memory TX ( See page 2-23.) The original automatically starts to be sent after it has been temporarily stored to memory. This mode is useful if you want to return original files immediately. You can also send the same original to two or more remote FAXes (multi-address transmission).

When a request arrives, the originals are automatically sent to the remote FAX that sent the request. In this way, the remote FAX can receive originals at any convenient time.

PREPARING FOR TRANSMISSION Order In Which Originals Are Sent to Remote Parties • When you specify memory TX, the originals start to be scanned from the upper most page, and transmitted beginning with the first scanned page (original placed uppermost). Precautions When Feeding Originals Do not use the following types of originals as they tend to be misfeed or become damaged: (1) Badly wrinkled or folded originals.

SETTING THE SCANNING CONDITIONS FOR EACH PAGE When you want to send multi-page originals by using the original glass, you can change the following scanning conditions for each page: • Resolution • Image Mode • Image Density • Original size When originals are placed on the original feed tray of the optional ADF or RADF, you cannot change the scanning conditions for each page.

    1. DELAYED COMMUNICATION (TIME DESIGNATION) • This function allows you to send originals to a remote FAX at a specified time and specified day. This function comes in handy when you want to make use of off-peak discounts (e.g. night-time) and make use of time differences when sending overseas.

LOW SPEED TRANSMISSION If communication errors frequently occur while transmitting documents due to bad phone lines, we recommend you to select a lower transmission speed to enable quality transmissions. • The transmission speed will be restored to the default value automatically after the low speed transmission is completed.

    5. MULTI-ADDRESS TRANSMISSION (BROADCASTING) • The “multi-address transmission” function allows you to send the same original to two or more remote FAXes in a single operation.
