7.2 SMPS BLOCK TROUBLE SHOOTING

SMPS section repair flow
A
Power On LED does not light up
The signal is output.
Fuse(FU1) has been blown.
B
When FU1 Has not been blown.
IC is very hot.
C
Separate the amplifier section.
Are + 47V and ± 12V output O.K.?

+47V output O.K., ± 12V output NG

Yes
Check the connecting cable and solder bridge of LED ASSY.
No
Yes
Check if there is a solder bridge on the SMPS Assy,
and replace FU1, IC1, and D13 with new ones.
∗ In AXW7007, when VA1 is damaged, replace FU1

and VA1 with new one.
Yes
Disconnect the AC power cord, and let the unit stand until
any hot ICs have cooled down. Once the ICs are cool
enough, turn on the unit and check the operations.

Failure in the amplifier section.

Check whether or not there is a solder bridge,
and replace D33 and IC33 with new ones.
Check whether or not there is a solder
bridge, and replace D32, D34, and IC32
with new ones.
If the failure in the power-supply section

is not corrected even after replacement
of corresponding parts, go to 3.
