1.17.4 Background Music (BGM)
Description
A PT user can listen to BGM through the built-in speaker while on-hook and idle.
BGM—External:
BGM can also be broadcast in the office through the external pagers, this can be turned on and off by an
extension assigned as the manager.
Conditions

•
Hardware requirement: A user-supplied external music source, such as a radio
•
The music through the PT is interrupted when going off-hook.
•
Each user can set/cancel BGM, and also select the music source.
•
Through system programming, it is possible to specify the maximum number of IP-PTs connected to a
V-IPEXT card that can simultaneously perform the BGM feature (® 1.17.4 Background Music (BGM)).
Changing this setting may affect the number of simultaneous IP extension and IP trunk calls available on
the IPCMPR/IPCEMPR card.

•
External pagers can be used with the following priorities:
TAFAS ® Paging ® BGM
(® 1.15.1 Paging, 1.17.3 Trunk Answer From Any Station (TAFAS))
