* Tapes with short gaps between tunes (gaps of more than 3 sec are re-
quired).
¢ When the fast-forward D.R.P.S. is performed near the end of a tune or
rewind D.R.P.S.
is performed near the start of a tune, the first non-
recorded section will not be detected.
(Leave approx.
10 sec in the
playback mode.)
REPEAT PLAY FUNCTION
The following repeat playback modes are possible by using the Repeat
switch @ and Auto-rewind switch @).
Press the Stop button @ to
release from repeat playback.
© To listen to the tune being listened to at present repeatedly;
Press the Repeat switch @4 during playback.
The Repeat indicator on
the Program indicator @2 will flash.
Now, it repeats the tune being listened at present 6 times.
¢ To listen to the tune several tunes after the tune being listened to at pre-
sent repeatedly;
Press the Program switch
@3) the number of tunes required to be skip-
ped during playback, and the Program indicator @2 will indicate the
number of tunes to be skipped.
Press the Repeat switch @4).

@2 flashes, the unit
enters the Fast Forward mode and enters the Playback mode at the start
of the desired tune; it repeats 6 times.
e To listen to all the tunes on one side of the tape;
Turn the Auto-rewind switch @5) ON and playback the tape.
When the
tape reaches the end, the tape is automatically rewound to its beginning
and Playback is repeated 6 times.
RECORDING
Since the levelmatic circuit is employed in this unit, the recording level is
kept constant even if there are changes in the recording input level.
Accordingly, adjustment of recording level is, in general, not required, but
when
the Rec manual switch @) is set to the "MANUAL"
position it
changes to the manual recording mode so the recording level has to be
adjusted manually.
Record at the level you desire by adjusting the Recording level controls .
LEVELMATIC AND VARIABLE MONITOR:
No record level adjustment
is necessary
duning
recording.
The
Levelmatic
circuitry adjusts the
recording level and reduces distortion from loud sound.
The radio program may be heard with any desired volume control setting
without affecting the recording using the ''Variable monitor' device.
RECORDING
MUTE
SWITCH:
The Recording
mute switch
is to
leave the gaps required for normal operation of D.R.P.S. and cutting out
FM commercials.
How to use the recording mute switch: Set the unit to the recording
mode.
1. Press the Recording mute switch
when the tune has finished.
The tape will continue to run and the LED level meter will light but no
recording will be made.
2. Depress the Pause button @@) after 3 — 5 sec while pressing the Recor-
ding mute switch @).
