Switching From REC PAUSE to REC, FF, or
REW Mode
W h e n t h e R E C b u t t o n i s p r e s s e d f r o m t h e R E C P A U S E
m o d e , t h e P L A Y s o l e n o i d i s t u r n e d O N , a n d t h e P L A Y
a r m ( F i g . 4 , a r m ( B ) ) p r e s s e s t h e s l i d e r a t t h e p o i n t o f
the arrow. This causes the slider to move upward, releas-
i n g o n l y t h e P A U S E l e v e r l o c k a n d e n t e r i n g t h e R E C
m o d e .
When the FF or REW switch is pressed from the REC
PAUSE mode, the pause lever lock is released as des-
c r i b e d a b o v e . T h i s t i m e h o w e v e r , t h e F F o r R E W l e v e r
moves the lockplate downward to release the REC and
P L A Y l e v e r l o c k s , e n t e r i n g t h e F F o r R E W m o d e .

When the cassette is loaded, pressure on arm (K) causes
