To change
the
AM tuning
interval
(except
for
European,
Russian
and
Saudi
Arabian
models)
The AM tuning inter_al is factory-preset
to
9 kHz (or 10 kHz l\_r stone areas). To change the
AM tuning interval, tune in ally AM station first,
then turn off the system. While holding
TUNING
MODE on the unit, press I/(J) on file
unit. When you change the interval, all tile AM
preset stations
are erased. To reset the interval,
repeat the same procedure.
Note
You cannot change the AM tuning intcr_al ill Pm_er
Saving Mode (page 24).
Tips
• The preset stations are retained for about
a
day even
if you discennect the power cerd or if a pewer faihlre
occurs.
• To improve broadcast receptien, acliust the supplied
antennas, or connect a commercially available
external
antenna.
To
improve
tuner
reception
When tuner reception
is poor, set CD player
power off by CD power manage hmction.
CD power is factory set to on.
Use buttons
on the trait for the operation.

Press CD to switch the function to CD.
2 Press I/(_ to turn off the system.
3 After "STANDBY" stops flashing, press I/(_
while holding I.
"CD POWER OFF" appears.

Repeat the procedure
above and "CD POWER
ON" appears.
Notes
• When "CD POWER OFF is selected, disc access
time is increased.
• You cannot change the selting in Power Saving
Mode (page 24).
You can listen to a radio station either by
selecting a preset station, or by manually tuning
ill tile station.

Preset radio stations ill the tuner's memory first
(see "Presetting radio stations"
on page 14).

Press TUNER BAND (or FUNCTION
repeatedly) to switch the function
to
TUNER.

select "FM" or "AM".
Press TUNING MODE repeatedly until
"PRESET"
appears
in the display.
Press + or - (or turn -TUNING
+ on the
unit) repeatedly to select the desired
preset station.
