Operation to reset
normal condition.
The microcomputer may fall into malfunction (impossibility to
operate, erroneous display, etc.) when the power cord is unplugged
while power is ON or due to an external factor. In this case, execute
the foltowing procedure to reset the microcomputer and return it to

@ The speaker cord is disconnected

Sound is not output from the surround
speaker and/or center speaker, or their sound
is very small.
@ The surround speaker cords and/or center speaker
cord are disconnected .
@ The Surround play mode has not been engaged
@ The surround and center speaker levels are set to
the minimum positions
Connect them properly referring to "Connec-
tion of speakers"

Adjust the surround and center speaker levels.
A hum noise is generated when the PHONO
input is selected.
@ The audio cord from the turntable 1s not inserted
securely into the PHONO jacks
e The turntable is not grounded
