Connecting the Electrobrush
to the vacuum cleaner
Connect the Electrobrush to the
vacuum cleaner as shown in the
illustrations at the end of the operating
instructions.
Hand-held vacuum cleaner - see
illustration a
Cylinder vacuum cleaner - see
illustration b
This illustration shows connection to an
S 300 / S 400 series vacuum cleaner as
an example.
The position of the socket for connec-
ting the Electrobrush will depend on the
vacuum cleaner model.
For S 500 / S 600 / S 700 / S 800 and
S 5000 vacuum cleaners the
protective cap must be removed from
the socket: see illustration c and d.
For SEB 216-3 (see illustration d)
This Electrobrush is easily removed
enabling one of the other accessories
to be used.
^ Press the release button and pull the
suction tube with plug connector out
of the Electrobrush.
The cable will remain on the suction
tube.
Cable
When the Electrobrush is connected to
a cylinder vacuum cleaner, the cable
must be secured to the telescopic tube
and to the suction hose. Nine clips are
supplied for this:
– two for securing the cable to the
telescopic tube (already in position)
– seven for running the cable along the
suction hose (these can be adjusted)
^ Fit the clips to the suction hose
leaving approximately the same
distance between each clip.

Switching on and off

The Electrobrush is operated in
conjunction with the vacuum cleaner.
Some models, however, are fitted with a
switch which allows the Electrobrush to
be switched on and off separately.
Warning light
The warning light on the Electrobrush is
green when the Electrobrush is
switched on.
If the warning light on the
Electrobrush is red, there is a
blockage in the roller, see "Warning
and Safety instructions, Blocked
roller warning light".
