Step 4 Insert the new fan drive into the corresponding slot in the power distribution
subrack, and push the latch to lock the fan drive.
Step 5 Close the maintenance door.
Step 6 Power on the device, and choose Maint > Wizard Startup on the home screen.
Start the fan and check that the fan works properly and the smart cooling product
generates no alarms. Check that it works properly before you exit.

9.9 Replacing a Supply Fan Drive

Context
Before checking and maintaining the device, ensure that the active power supply
to the device is disconnected and the drive has been placed without active power
supply for 10 minutes. Otherwise, electric shocks may occur.
Procedure
Step 1 On the home screen of the display module, tap Shutdown and turn off the device
switch in the PDF.
Exercise caution because the device is still energized after it is shut down on the
screen of the display module.
Step 2 Open the maintenance door and enter the unit.
Step 3 Remove the air supply fan drive.

A drive needs to be replaced.
A spare drive of the same model is available and functional.

Remove the sheet metal in front of the fan drive to be replaced.
Flip the clip on the fan drive to be replaced.
Pull out the handle and remove the fan drive from the subrack.
