To apply grease to the two-piece
shaft
Apply grease to the end of the drive shaft after
each 30 hours of operation.
The engine does not start
Check
Stop switch.
Fuel tank.
Spark plug and cylinder.
The engine starts but stops again

Fuel filter

Troubleshooting

Possible cause
The stop switch is in the stop posi-
tion.
Incorrect fuel type.
The spark plug is dirty or wet.
The spark plug electrode gap is in-
correct.
The spark plug is loose.
Engine is flooded because of re-
peated starts with full choke after
ignition.
Possible cause
Incorrect fuel type.
The fuel filter is clogged.
Procedure
Let an approved service agent re-
place the stop switch.
Drain the fuel tank and fill with cor-
rect fuel.
Make sure that the spark plug is
dry and clean.
Clean the spark plug. Make sure
that the electrode gap is correct,

23 . Make sure that the spark plug
has a supressor.
Tighten the spark plug.
Remove and clean the spark plug.
Put the product on its side with the
spark plug hole away from you.
Pull the starter rope handle 6-8
times. Assemble the spark plug
and start the product. Refer to
start a cold engine on page 14 .
Procedure
Empty the fuel tank and fill it with
correct fuel.
Replace the fuel filter.
