SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS To avoid a circuit overload, do not operate another high wattage appliance (such as a toaster) on the same circuit. If an extension cord is absolutely necessary, use a 10 ampere cord. Cords rated for less amperage may overheat. Care should be taken to arrange the cord so that it cannot be pulled or tripped over. -

Using the appliance Ironing without steam The heat indicating light switches ON while the appliance is heating up and switches OFF as soon as the set temperature is reached. If the temperature of the hot iron drops, you can continue ironing while the iron heats up again to the set temperature. -

Ironing with steam Filling the tank WARNING! Unplug the iron first! q Use only tap water or tap water mixed with distilled water if the tap water is hard! Other liquids will damage the appliance. NEVER fill above the "Max." mark, otherwise the tank will overflow! After ironing WARNING! Unplug the iron first! To descale the nozzle Never descale the tank or treat with detergents or solvents, as this would cause water to drip from the iron when generating or spraying steam! q Approx. every 4 weeks heat up the iron with a full tank for 3 minutes at max. - Page 8 Cleaning q Unplug the iron and allow the soleplate to cool down. q Wipe the housing and soleplate with a damp cloth only. If the soleplate is very dirty, iron a linen cloth soaked in white vinegar. Then wipe with a clean damp cloth.
