5. DIAGNOSTIC TEST OPERATION

5.4 Serviceman Diagnostic Test Program

Insert the USB memory which has been set up in Section 5.2 Serviceman Diagnostic Test Program Setup
Procedure to the USB connector provided for the POS terminal, and then boot the POS terminal. The following
start menu screen is displayed.
NOTE: If the Serviceman Diagnostic Test Program does not start, the USB memory may not be mounted
correctly. In this case, make sure of the following conditions.
(1) The volume label of the USB memory is DIAGDSK.
(2) Increase the delay time for recognizing the USB memory.
Press the [Tab] key on the start menu screen, and then change the value of rootdelay=5.
Select the COM port where the TFT display is connected (No touchpanel, COM1 to COM6) on the start menu
screen, and then press the [Enter] key.
NOTE:
If there is no key entry for 10 seconds while the above screen is displayed, the default diag. Menu
automatically starts.
