1. Confirm control wiring between rooftop unit Carel controller and AC Smart 5 Channel 1 (wiring is 18 AWG, 2
conductor, twisted, stranded, shielded, and must comply with all applicable local and national codes.)
2. Note that AC Smart 5 or later version must be used with Carel controller. AC Smart 4 is not compatible with
Carel controller
3. Device ID on Carel controller, under "Network Settings" should be set as follows
a. AR-DE models: Carel Device ID = 17 (decimal) and AC Smart Address = 11 (hex)
b. AR-DR models: Carel Device ID = 18 (decimal) and AC Smart Address = 12 (hex)
