Reprocessing
For validation purposes please make sure that you follow the
loading instructions given on the template.
 Risk of infection due to insufficient disinfection.
Load items that become detached from the irrigation connector
during reprocessing will not be sufficiently disinfected on the in-
side.
Any items that become detached from the irrigation connector dur-
ing reprocessing must be reprocessed again.
Check that the cannulae from the 3F and MF syringes are free of
blockages.
Before using cannulae from 3F and MF syringes again following re-
processing, a functional check must be carried out, e.g. spraying
into a basin to ensure lumens are clear. The functional check must
not be carried out until shortly before the 3F and MF syringes are
due to be used on the patient.
 Risk of injury caused by load.
There is a risk of injury when loading and unloading due to possible
sharp edges, rims or pointed ends.
To minimise the risk of injury, loading should take place from the
back forwards and unloading should take place in the reverse or-
der.
