APPENDIX-2

Reset vs. Factory Reset

Reset:
1.
Press and hold down the power button (approx. 5 seconds) on the remote commander until the message
"Power off" appears on the TV screen
2.
The TV will turn off, and then restart automatically
Try a reset when Android TV doesn't behave properly (e.g., the TV is unresponsive or is stuck on a black screen). Note if
you unplug and plug in the power cable, it may have the same effect as a reset. If a reset does not resolve the problem,
try a new software update and or a factory reset.
Important: This reset will not delete any personal settings, data and downloaded apps on the TV.
Factory reset:
From Home Screen, select "Settings"
1.
Under "TV" category, select "Storage & reset"
2.
Select "Factory data reset "
3.
Select "Erase everything"
4.
Select "YES"
5.
Important: The factory reset will delete all personal settings, data and downloaded apps on the TV.
Force Factory reset:
1.
Unplug the power cable from the outlet
Press and hold down both the "Center" and "Right/Down" keys located on the TV
2.
Plug the power cable back in the outlet (while holding down both the "Center" and "Right/Down" keys)
3.
Important: The factory reset will delete all personal settings, data and downloaded apps on the TV.
Note) This force factory reset procedure is useful when you cannot access the TV's settings menu, for e.g., when the TV
will not boot up into the Android operating
XBR-55/65/77A1E
system.
