Installation Guide – Software Update Module for the GE Refrigerator : WR98R4
Listed below are the installation instructions to update the software on your GE Appliance.
This software update should improve the performance of your refrigerator.
Parts Needed:
• Software Update Module
• Connector cable
Software Update Module Connector Cable
Instructions:
1) The Refrigerator needs to be plugged in and operating before updating the software.
2) Remove the grommet from the input jack if present. Connect one end of the cable to the
input jack on top of the GE Refrigerator (see picture). The input jack is above the left door,
seven inches from the front of the door. You may need to move your refrigerator out slightly to
access this input jack.
