RS-232C Port

The PVS-1240S can be controlled from equipment with the RS-232C port, such as the SRP-C5000 system controller, or from a
personal computer via its RS-232C port.

Data format is set as follows:

area.

Connector-Pin Assignment
The RS-232C port is a 25-pin D-SUB connector (female).
The pin assignment is as follows:
Connection
Use the cables with the following specifications for
connection between the RS-232C port and the external
equipment.

Multicore shielded cable for data
communications (min. 8 cores)
Cable length:
Less than 15 m
NOTE
You can format the same preceeding data as PVS-880S
and the PVS-1680S. However, do not set more than
twelve inputs and four outputs for the Crosspoint
buttons to prevent damage to the hardware.
