2.3.2 Warning Notes

Caution
The Bosch TRACI Tag contains a lithium battery. The device is not designed to change the battery!
 It is not allowed to open the housing! Use of non-original (e.g. opened) Bosch TRACI
Tags may lead to hazards.
 Handling the battery incorrectly could cause a fire. It is not allowed to change the battery!
 When the battery is empty, please refer to chapter 2.9 "Disposal and Recycling" for
further information.
► Do not exchange or recharge the battery

Bosch TRACI Tag is equipped with a non-rechargeable lithium battery. Improper use can
cause leakage of battery liquid. Avoid contact with battery liquid. Leaking battery liquid can
cause skin irritations or skin burns. In case of contact, wash off with water immediately. In
case of contact of the battery liquid with the eyes, consult medical assistance. In case of
damages to the battery, fumes can escape. These fumes can cause irritations to the
respiratory tract. Provide sufficient fresh air and consult a doctor when feeling signs of
discomfort.
► Short circuit protection

A broken housing of the Bosch TRACI Tag can lead to a short circuit. For storage, transport
and disposal of a damaged Bosch TRACI Tag, keep it away from paper clips, coins, keys,
nails, screws or other small metal objects which can cause a short circuit between the
contacts of the battery. A short circuit can cause fire.
Notice
 Do not use or store the Bosch TRACI Tag in a place where it is exposed to direct sunlight,
high temperatures, or sources of heat. Failure to do so could result in battery leakage,
overheating, or damage. This can result in burns or other injuries.
 Install the product at a sufficient distance from engines, exhaust systems and electrical
equipment.
 For any question regarding service, please refer to chapter 2.7 "General Remarks on
Service, Repair and Maintenance".

The radiated output power of the Bosch TRACI Tag is below radio frequency exposure limits.
Nevertheless, it is recommended to avoid constant exposure of humans to the device.
