Cleaning and maintenance

Scope of maintenance
The HMI device is designed for maintenance-free operation.
Proper handling and regular cleaning will extend the service life of the front operating panel.
The front operating panel consists of:
● Stainless steel frame
● Glass front
● Mounting seal
● Grouting compound with edge grouting
Regularly check the mounting seal and the edge grouting for damage.
The components on the front panel have different resistances to chemical and mechanical
influences (see section "Chemical resistance").
Cleaning interval for food contact
To comply with the permissible limits for indirect contact with food (see section "Product
overview"), the device must be regularly cleaned (see section "General cleaning
instructions"):
● After a maximum of 8 hours of continuous use.
● If there is a break in operation for a longer period of time, clean the device at the end of
the break before restarting operation.
● We also recommend that you clean the device before a lengthy break in operation to
prevent any buildup from drying out.
In contact with food:
● Remove visible buildup immediately.
● Avoid direct contact of the food with the grouting compound.
● Prevent food adhering to or contacting the grouting compound from returning to the
production process.
