4.3 Starting the software
Status area
The status area shows which reader type is currently connected to the PC as well as the
current status of the connection.
Display of the active UHF algorithms:
only with RF620R / RF630R
As soon as the connection is established to a serial reader, the possible UHF algorithms are
also displayed. The UHF algorithms that were activated are highlighted on a green
background.

The following table shows the tabs of the software user interface that are affected by the
active UHF algorithms:

Reader-specific functionalities
After starting the program only the "Info" tab is displayed. This tab is always displayed
regardless of the connection status and the reader type. It serves as the central starting point
for establishing a connection to the reader.
Various tabs are displayed depending on the reader you connect to. The "Reader-specific
functionalities" area depends on the particular tab and displays reader-specific functions.
If you have established the connection to a reader, various functions of the diagnostics tool
are displayed in tabs depending on the connected reader.
You will find the list of all tabs and a detailed description of the functions in the section
"Operating the software (Page 29)".
