    Getting started About this User guide This is the Xperia XA2 User guide for the Android™ 8.0 software version. If you're not sure which software version your device is running, you can check it in the Settings menu. System and application updates can present the features in your device in another way than described in this User guide.

    Assembly – Dual SIM Your device only supports nano SIM cards. Dual SIM devices support the use of either two nano SIM cards or a nano SIM card and a memory card. Dual SIM devices are not available in all markets or from all operators. For information on how to check if your device is Single SIM or Dual SIM, see Finding the IMEI number(s) of your device on page 15.

    To insert one or two nano SIM cards Do not cut your SIM cards, as this may damage your device. Only Dual SIM devices support the simultaneous use of two SIM cards. Drag out the SIM and memory card trays. Place the main SIM card (SIM1) securely in the SIM card tray, as shown in the illustration.

    Your device has an embedded, rechargeable battery that can only be replaced by an authorized Sony repair center. Never try to open or take apart the device yourself. Doing so can cause damage and void your warranty.

    Connect one end of the USB Type-C cable to the charger or to the USB port of a computer. Connect the other end of the cable to the USB Type-C port on your device. The notification light illuminates when charging begins. When the device is fully charged, disconnect the cable from your device by pulling it straight out.

    Incandescent Adjust the color balance for warm lighting conditions, like under light bulbs Optimizing exposure Exposure metering measures the amount of light that strikes an object, to optimize exposure. Exposure metering is automatically adjusted in Superior auto and Video modes. You can adjust the exposure manually in Manual mode for the main camera, for example to change the exposure for a specific part of the photo.

    To activate the selfie timer with the palm of your hand When using the camera, tap to activate the front camera. Tap More > Auto capturing > Hand Shutter and close the settings menu.
