Judgment threshold for ACS (common for copy and scan)

Judgment levels for automatically identifying whether an original is color or black are adjusted. This
adjustment is for judgment levels when "Auto Color" is selected as a color mode. The same adjustment
value is simultaneously applied to all cases of originals on the original glass for copier functions and
network scanning functions, and those placed on the RADF.

The procedure is the same as that of

Sharpness adjustment
If you want to make copy images look softer or sharper, perform the following adjustment. The
adjustment can be made for each of the color modes and original modes independently.

* Any change in these settings affects the settings of "IMAGE SMOOTHING" and "Photo" in the black
mode, and "Text/Photo", "Text" and "Printed Image" in the twin color mode.
Make a test copy and compare the image obtained with the current settings; if necessary, make
adjustment.
Note:
You have to make adjustment by balancing between moire and sharpness.

The procedure is the same as that of
e-STUDIO2020C/2330C/2820C/2830C/3520C/3530C/4520C
ADJUSTMENT
The larger the value is, the more an original tends to be judged as black in the
Auto Color mode. The smaller the value is, the more it tends to be judged as
color.
Acceptable values: 0 to 255 (Default: 70)

The larger the value is, the sharper the image
becomes; while the smaller the value is, the softer the

Printed Image*
The smaller the value is, the less moire tends to
appear.
