Cutting
(1)
Since saw blade width represents cutting width, slide the
workpiece to the right when length
(2)
When the saw blade has reached maximum speed, push
the handle down carefully so the blade approaches the
workpiece.
(3)
When the saw blade contacts the workpiece, push the
handle down gradually to produce cutting.
(4)
When the cutting (or desired cutting-in) has been
completed, raise the handle up to the retract position.
(5)
Turn the tool OFF after each cutting operation is completed, and allow the saw blade to
come to a complete stop before preparing for the next operation.
CAUTION
Increased pressure on the handle does not necessarily mean faster cutting of the
workpiece. On the contrary, too much force may result in overload of the motor
and/or decreased cutting effi ciency.
Ensure the switch is turned OFF and the plug is removed from the power outlet
when work has been completed.
3.
Angle cutting (Fig. 9)
(1)
Angle stoppers are located on the right and left positions
of angles 0°, 15°, 22.5°, 30° and 45°. When the turntable
has been set to either of these angles, move the
turntable fi xing side handle a little to the right and left to
assure that the position is stable and that the angle scale
and the indicator end are in matching with each other
before starting operation.
(2)
Starting operation with the angle scale and the indicator
end unmatched or with the side handle untightened
would cause a poor cutting precision.
(3)
To align the saw blade with the ink line marked on the
workpiece, watch through the saw cover window to
ensure alignment before starting operation.
(4)
If any cuttings, etc., collecting on the transparent cover
of the saw cover window have made it diffi cult to see the
saw blade end, remove the fi xing screws and clean the
cover using cloth or the like.
4.
How to cut wide materials
(1)
Fig. 10 shows dimensions for wide workpiece cutting
at a right angle (0°). The use of a plate as illustrated in the fi gure permits cutting of wide
workpieces of up to 240 mm (width) × 45 mm (height).
CAUTION
Since the workpiece needs to be held with a push by hand during cutting
operation, be sure to put it into a stable, horizontal position and fi x it securely
before starting operation.
