Connecting the Tubing and Air Supply

This section describes the process for connecting the tubing and air supply to a single acting
PST controller.
Pneumatic Connections
The SVI II ESD is intended for use with industrial compressed air or natural gas systems only
that meet the requirements of ISA standard 7.3. Supply pressure must not exceed 120 psi. A
coalescing filter can be used to assure that the supply air is sufficiently free of oil, water, and
particulate contaminants. Ensure that an adequate pressure relief provision is installed when
the application of system supply pressure could cause peripheral equipment to malfunction.
Installation must be in accordance with local and national compressed air and
instrumentation codes. Table 7 provides the pneumatic connections and air supply
requirements for the SVI II ESD.
