With the aid of the following guide, minor problems can be easily corrected
without contacting Miele.
If, after reading this guide, you cannot remedy the problem yourself, please call
Miele (see back cover for details). However, please note that a call-out charge will
be applied to unnecessary service visits where the problem could have been
rectified as described in these operating instructions.
To prevent unnecessary loss of temperature, it is advisable not to open the door
while waiting for the appliance to be serviced.
Installation, maintenance and repairs may only be carried out by a suitably
qualified and competent person in strict accordance with current national and
local safety regulations.
Repairs and other work by unqualified persons could be dangerous. The
manufacturer cannot be held liable for unauthorised work.
The appliance does not get cool.
Problem
The interior
lighting does not
come on when the
door is open and
the temperature
does not appear in
the display.
The controls and
lighting are
working.
Possible cause
The appliance is not
switched on.
The plug is not correctly
inserted into the socket.
The mains fuse has tripped.
The wine conditioner, mains
voltage, or another
appliance may be faulty.
The demo mode is switched
on and the r symbol is
illuminated in the display.

Problem solving guide

Remedy
^ Switch on the appliance
and the temperature
should appear in the
display.
^ Insert the plug correctly
into the socket and ensure
the appliance is switched
on at the socket. If the
appliance is switched off,
the mains connection
symbol t will appear.
^ Contact a qualified
electrician or Miele.
^ Deactivate the demo
mode (see "Information for
Chartered Agents - Demo
mode").
