After the configuration is complete, a Telnet user must enter the password 12345678 for authentication,
and can use commands of levels 0, 1, and 2 after login.

Switching the user privilege level

A user can switch to a different user privilege level and continue to manage the device without
terminating the current session and logging in again. However, the commands the user can execute have
changed. For example, a user with the privilege level 3 can configure system parameters. After switching
to privilege level 0, the user can execute only basic commands like ping and tracert and use a small
number of display commands.
A privilege level switching operation does not change the privilege level setting for the user. After the user
terminates the current session and logs in again, the privilege level specified in the configuration file is
used for the user.
To avoid problems, HP recommends that administrators log in with a lower privilege level to view system
operating parameters, and switch to a higher level temporarily only when they are maintaining the
