Sacrificial anodes are attached to the out-
board motor to provide corrosion protection
and must never be painted.
Sacrificial anodes made from a different ma-
terial may be necessary for maximum corro-
sion protection due to your local water
conditions. Please consult your Yamaha
dealer.

Motor disposal requirements

Never illegally discard (dump) the motor.
Yamaha recommends consulting the dealer
about discarding the motor.

Emergency equipment

Keep the following items onboard in case
there is trouble with the outboard motor.
A tool kit with assorted screwdrivers, pli-
ers, wrenches (including metric sizes), and
electrical tape.
Waterproof flashlight with extra batteries.
An extra engine shut-off cord (lanyard)
with clip.
Spare parts, such as an extra set of spark
plugs.
Consult your Yamaha dealer for details.
