    SH-D07 6. ADJUSTMENT Precaution: 1. When the set has been disassembled and repaired, be sure to place all the copper tapes and filters back into position to keep against unintended radiation. 2. The ATV -1 Unit of this model is equipped with the DIP-SW. If the SW setting of the board is not correct , there may occur some trouble.
  • Page 89 SH-D07 Service mode DTV stands for digital television broadcast. In analog broadcast, the worse the reception condition gets, the more noises and ghosts occur on the screen. In digital broadcast, on the other hand, there is no degraded images up to a certain level. Once the reception condition drops below a limit, however, both picture and sound are interrupted suddenly.
  • Page 90 SH-D07 PACKET ERROR : Indicates the current reception condition by displaying, in bars and figures, the number of errors of the data received for a certain period of time. This helps estimate the antenna condition, signal level and other data.
  • Page 91 SH-D07 Check mode In this mode, the basic performance of the hardware that is connected with the main microprocessor (SH3) is checked up. The check results are displayed on the screen. 1) Check mode screen and switching There are three screens for the check mode. Press the SELECT key on the set or the R/C unit, and at each push the three screens get switched one after the other.

    SH-D07 7. GENERAL INFORMATION 7.1 DIAGNOSIS 7.1.1 DISASSEMBLY 1. Removing the DTV UNIT 1-1. Remove the six lock screws off and the rear cover of the projection TV rear side.. 1-2. Remove the four lock screws off and pull out the DTV unit from the PJTV main body.
  • Page 95 SH-D07 2. Removing the top cabinet 2-1. Remove the six lock screws off the right and left and front sides of the top cabinet. 2-2. Remove the five lock screws off the back of the top cabinet. Slide the top cabinet toward yourself and detach it.

Remove the eight lock screws off the ATV-1 unit PWB. Disconnect the terminals from the bottom cabinet. Lift and detach the ATV-1 unit PWB.
