Please refer to the user guide of the product for instructions on operation, care
and maintenance, including important safety information.
• Before you start using this product, please read the Safety information
section on the CD-ROM.
• Do not insert the wireless LAN card into your computer until instructed to
do so in this guide.
• Note that the Nokia C110/C111 software requires 10 MB of free disk space.
• For detailed information on operating the Nokia C110/C111, please refer to
the User's guide.
The Nokia C110/C111 enables you to create network profiles: a profile
includes all the settings needed to connect to a wireless LAN and to access its
resources. Three default profiles are created automatically during the
installation: Quick Infrastructure, Quick Ad Hoc, and Wired LAN. With
these predefined profiles you can easily establish a network connection. You
can also create your own profiles with more detailed settings. These profiles
can be created and edited at any time. Please refer to the User's guide for
details.
The integrated smart card reader can only be used with the Nokia C110/
C111. If you want other applications to be able to use the smart card reader of
the Nokia C110/C111, you need to install separately a PC/SC (Personal
Computer Smart Card) compliant smart card driver on your computer.
Please consider the following points:
• Install the PC/SC compliant smart card driver only if you want to use other
smart card applications with the smart card reader of the Nokia C110/
C111.
• You can have only one smart card driver installed on your computer at one
time. If you already have a smart card driver installed on your computer and
you want to use the smart card driver provided by Nokia, you first have to
uninstall the existing driver.
For further information on smart card drivers and installation instructions,
please see the readme.txt file in the SCard folder of the CD-ROM.
