Message
You can send and receive messages with your handset. The
messages are short messages that can be read on the dis-
play. You can
– send messages,
– display messages you received,
– delete sent messages,
– call up received messages and
– leave advisory messages
Note:
Messages can only be sent internally and only to other
handsets or optiset E telephones with display.
The individual message functions are executed in the
same way as switching functions via an interactive
menu (see page 54). Examples of the "Send Message" and
"Call up received messages" functions are provided on the
following pages.
When transmitting messages, you can select predefined
messages or enter your own
You telephone system offers the following predefined mes-

sage texts
0 = Please callback
1 = Visitor waiting
2 = Appointment
3 = Urgent call
4 = Do not disturb
