Monitoring (direct)

When a fax transmission is monitored, the call establishment attempt is played back via the built-in speaker.
This means that you have an additional acoustic check for monitoring the call establishment procedure. This
facility is useful whenever a connection is not established. This is frequently due to a wrong number or a fax
machine that is not ready to receive.
With the listening-in alternative, the document is not read into the memory; it is retained on the tray until
the receiving fax machine has been contacted.
