Default profile
— Choose the profile
you wish to be automatically
activated when a charger is
connected

— Choose to keep the phone
lights always on, or to shut off
automatically after several seconds.

■ Security settings

PIN code

The PIN code protects the UIM card
from unauthorised access. The PIN
code can be 4-8 digits in length.
After three successive incorrect
entries the PIN code is blocked and
you'll be asked to enter the personal
unblocking key (PUK) code.
Note: The PIN code must be
obtained from your wireless
provider. The PIN code is typically
provided with your UIM card.
Pin Code request
Enable your phone to request the
PIN code upon power-up. This
provides extra security in case your
phone is lost or stolen.
1. Press
Menu

Settings

request.
2. Enter the PIN code and press OK.
3. Scroll to
On
and press OK. A
message appears in the display
confirming your selection.

Call restrictions

Call restriction is a network service.
See "Network services" on page 9.
If your wireless service providers
supports this feature, then you can
restrict the calls your phone can
make and receive. When calls are
restricted, calls still may be possible
to the official emergency number
programmed into your phone.
1. At the standby screen, select
Menu
>
Settings

press Select.
2. Enter the security code and press
OK.
3. Scroll through the types of calls
you can restrict, and press Select:
Restrict outgoing calls
cannot be made.
Restrict incoming calls
cannot be received.
4. Scroll to an option (Select,
restriction) and press Select.

Security level

The security level determines your
access to features when a

than the original) that is inserted
after you power off the phone.
