Putting into service
The handset may only be put into service at the site by the system manager, i.e. the
person responsible for the safety of people using equipment in areas which have a
potential explosive atmosphere. This system manager must be acquainted with the
risks for the user at the places where the handset will be used. Before the handset is
put into service the user should receive instructions and information about the
conditions to be followed for the safe operation. The following items should be a guide
for the instructions:
•
Defining the area where the handset may be used.
•
The special conditions of use, including examples of possible misuse, for which
experience has shown that they might occur.
•
Obligation to use the handset in combination with pouch Bosch LBB6711/00 in dry
areas with a relative humidity < 60%, or when the user wears clothes which could
cause dangerous electrostatic discharges.
•
In the defined area the handset may not be opened.
•
In the defined area the batteries of the handset may not be charged by a charging
