Measure the coil resistance between Blue/Yellow-
Black/Red of the thermo sensor.
(tester range:Ω × 1k)
a
Coil resistance:
2.647-3.021 kΩ at 30 °C (86 °F)
Refer to Service Data Section for Specification
Coil resistance:
0.1859-0.1988 kΩ at 120 °C (248°F)
Refer to Service Data Section for Specification
SPECIFICATION
Check the connections of the wire harness connec-
tors and couplers, and the wires for an open circuit or
short circuit.
GOOD
Replace the control unit.

CHOKE CONTROL SYSTEM

OUT OF SPECIFICATION
NO GOOD
Checking steps:
1. Conect the pocket tester(Ω × 1k) to
the thermo sensor.
2. Soak the thermo sensor into the
coolant until the 1/3 a of the hexagon
as shown.
3. Slowly heat the coolant,and then let it
cool to the specified temperature indi-
cated.
4. Check the thermo sensor for at the
temperatures indicated.
Replace the thermo sensor.
Correct or replace.
