IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS When using your iron, basic safety precautions should always be followed, including the following: Read all instructions before using. Use iron only for its intended use. Do NOT use to melt or seal materials. Iron could be permanently damaged. WARNING: To protect against a risk of electic shock, do not immerse the iron in water or other liquids. -

SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS To avoid a circuit overload, do not operate another high wattage appliance (such as a toaster) on the same circuit. If an extension cord is absolutely necessary, use a 10 ampere cord. Cords rated for less amperage may overheat. Care should be taken to arrange the cord so that it cannot be pulled or tripped over. -

Using the appliance The heat indicating light switches ON while the appliance is heating up and switches OFF as soon as the set temperature is reached. If the temperature of the hot iron drops, you can continue ironing while the iron heats up again to the set temperature. -

Ironing without steam q For prolonged dry ironing empty the tank! The steam button is OFF, as showen in the picture. Ironing with steam Filling the tank WARNING! Unplug the iron first! q Use only tap water or tap water mixed with distilled water if the tap water is hard! Other liquids will damage the appliance. -

After ironing WARNING! Unplug the iron first! To descale the nozzle q Step #1 slide the steam control back and forth several times. q Step #2 hold the iron at an angle and empty the tank. q Store the iron upright and not on the soleplate (risk of corrosion). -
