Snowthrowercontrolsand featuresare describedbelowand illustrated

Drive Control
Locatedon the undersideof theupper handle,the drivecontrolis used
to engage/disengage wheels.Squeezethe drivecontrolagainstthe
upperhandleto engagethe wheels;releaseto disengage.
Auger Control
Theaugercontrol is on thefront the upperhandle.Squeezethe auger
controlagainstthe upperhandleto engagethe auger;releaseto
disengagethe auger.
Never makeadjustments tothechute assembly unless bothauger and
drivecontrols aredisengaged a ndtheoperator i s standing besidetheunit.
IMPORTANT:Referto AugerControlTestin the Assemblysectionof
this manualpriorto operatingyoursnowthrower.Readand followall
instructionscarefullyand performall adjustments to verify yoursnow
throweris operatingsafelyand properly.
Chute Handle
The directionof snowthrowingcorrespondsto the directionof the
chute opening.Use thechute handleto turn thechute assemblyin the
directionyouwish to throw the snow.
Chute Knob
The distancesnow isthrowncanbe adjustedbyeitherraisingor
lowering t he upperchute. Loosenthe chute knobon the side of the
upperchuteto adjust.Pivotthe upper chuteto desiredposition,and
retightenthechute knob.Raisingthe chutethrowsthe snowfurther.
Shave Plate
The shaveplatemaintainscontact with pavementas the snow
throweris propelled,allowingsnowclose to pavement'ssurfaceto be
discharged.
Skid Shoe
The spacebetweenthe shaveplateand thegroundcan be adjusted.
Forclose snowremoval,placeskid shoesin the highestposition.Use
middleor lowestpositionwhenarea to be clearedis unevenor on
gravelsurfaces.
