Troubleshooting - Hitachi L19D01UB Instruction Manual

Before consulting service personnel, check the following chart for a possible cause of problem
and for a possible solution.
TV will not turn on
Make sure the power cord is plugged in.
The batteries in the remote control may be exhausted.
Replace new and same brand batteries.
No picture, no sound
Check the interface cable between TV and antenna / cable TV.
Press the STANDBY
Press the INPUT button repeatedly on the remote to select the
connected video sources.
Poor picture, sound OK
Check the interface cable between TV and antenna / cable TV.
Try another channel, the station may have broadcast difficulties.
Adjust the Brightness / Contrast options in the Picture Menu.
Picture OK, poor sound
Sound may be muted. Press the MUTE button on the remote.
Press the VOL.+ button to increase the volume.
Audio noise
Move any infrared equipment away from the TV.
DVD Troubleshooting
DVD will not read the disc
Check if the disc is turned over.
Check if there is any oil sludge on the disc.
Check if there is any obvious vestige on the disc
Try to play the disc on other DVD to check whether it is has contents
DVD does not have the signal
Check whether it is in DVD source signal.
Disc error Display on screen
Press the eject button again.
Make sure the Disc move out from the slot.
DVD Does not work.
Try to change to other mode, and then change back to DVD mode.
Try to switch off the main switch, and turn it back on after one minute.
