Glow buttons (SRP2006WM only) The SRP2006WM glow buttons (- VOL +, - CH +, ENTER, (-) and the numeric buttons) glow in the dark, enabling easy use of the remote control, even in a dimly lit room To fully benefit from the support that Philips offers, register your product at www.philips.com/welcome. G etting started 2.1 Inserting the batteries • I nsert 2 AAA type batteries, noting the + and - configuration in the battery compartment. Note When replacing the batteries, all user settings will be retained in the remote control memory for 5 minutes.

L ook up the 4-digit code for your brand in the brand list at the back of this user manual. A 4-digit code is shown for each brand. Important If you made a mistake: • P ress the device selection button twice to exit setup. The red Setup light turns off. • Restart from the beginning. • If the device does not respond at all or not to all of the button commands or if you cannot find the code for your brand, enter ‘9, 9, 9, 9’ in step 3 and continue with step 4.

During initial setup 1 M ake sure the receiving device is able to respond. E.g. when you try to repair the Play button for your DVD player, make sure to insert a DVD into the DVD player otherwise the Play button is not able to function. P ress the button that does not function, keep it pressed and immediately release it when the device responds. Repeat this for every button that does not function. • I f the button still does not function as expected, try pressing it again for a longer period of time. After initial setup 1 M ake sure the receiving device is able to respond. E.g. when you try to repair the Play button for your DVD player, make sure to insert a DVD into the DVD player otherwise the Play button is not able to function.
3 U sing the universal remote controls 3.1 Buttons and functions The illustrations on page 2 gives an overview of all buttons on the remote controls. Try out the buttons you need for operating your devices. Notes • B uttons having the same functions as the buttons on your original remote control may have different namings on the SRP2003WM / SRP2006WM (e.g. Info / Display). • O nly functions that are available on your original remote control can be used for operating your devices with the universal remote controls........ S etup light. Lights up when a remote control command is being sent, when you just selected a device and when the remote control is in setup mode.

3.2 R esetting a button to its original function If an improved button (see chapter 2.2.2) still does not function as expected, you can always reset the button to its original function. I n the current 5 sec. device mode, keep digit buttons and pressed simultaneously for 5 seconds, until the red Setup light lights up. • T he remote control is now in setup mode. P ress digit buttons , and , in that order. • A fter each button press the red Setup light blinks once.
4 Service and support 4.1 Frequently asked questions In this chapter you will find answers to the most frequently asked questions about your universal remote controls. Setup I cannot enter setup mode. Battery level too low or battery lifetime came to an end. • R eplace the batteries. See chapter 2.1. After replacing the batteries, test if the remote control still operates your devices. If it does not, you have to set up the remote control again. For this refer to chapter 2.2. The brand code for my device is missing in the ‘Shortlist of brands’ in the Quick Start Guide. The ‘Shortlist of brands’ only mentions the most common TV, DVD, CBL/SAT, DVR and VCR brands.

After setup, not all buttons work al expected. • T ry improving the button(s). See chapter 2.2.2. How do I set up the remote control for combo devices (TV / VCR, TV / DVD, DVD / VCR, etc)? Some combo devices require you to set up two different device selection buttons to control both parts of the combo device. For example, if you have a TV / DVD combo, you might need to set up the remote control for both TV and DVD to operate your TV / DVD combo. Operation The remote control does not wake up anymore. Tendrá que pulsar un botón numérico (selección directa de canal) para volver a encender el televisor. 3.2 R establecer la función original de un botón Si un botón cuyo funcionamiento ha sido corregido (consulte el capítulo 2.2.2) sigue sin funcionar correctamente, siempre puede restablecer su función original. E n el modo actual 5 sec. del dispositivo, mantenga los botones numéricos pulsados al mismo tiempo durante 5 segundos, hasta que se ilumine el...
• E l indicador rojo de configuración parpadeará una vez más para confirmar que el botón se ha restablecido correctamente a su función original. 4 S ervicio y asistencia técnica 4.1 Preguntas más frecuentes En este capítulo, encontrará respuestas a las preguntas más frecuentes sobre los mandos a distancia universales. Configuración No puedo acceder al modo de configuración. El nivel de las pilas es demasiado bajo o se ha agotado la vida útil de las pilas. • S ustitúyalas. Para obtener más información, consulte el capítulo 2.1. Después de sustituir las pilas, compruebe que el mando a distancia sigue controlando sus dispositivos. En caso contrario, deberá volver a configurar el mando a distancia. Para ello, consulte el capítulo 2.2.

El televisor se apaga en el paso 4 pero no se vuelve a encender en el paso 5. Los televisores de algunas marcas (por ejemplo, Panasonic) únicamente se encienden tras pulsar de forma continuada uno de los botones numéricos. Después de pulsar el botón de forma continuada en el modo de configuración, el mando a distancia intentará corregir el funcionamiento del botón (consulte el capítulo 2.2.2) en vez de encender el televisor. • E n este caso,encienda el televisor manualmente o utilice el mando a distancia original para hacerlo. Continúe con el paso 6. Tras finalizar correctamente la configuración, el mando a distancia encenderá el televisor si pulsa uno de los botones numéricos de forma continuada, tal y como lo hacía con el mando a distancia original. Después de la configuración, no todos los botones funcionan correctamente. • I ntente arreglar los botones. Consulte el capítulo 2.2.2. ¿Cómo configuro el mando a distancia para aparatos combinados (TV con vídeo integrado, TV con DVD integrado, DVD con vídeo, etc.)? En algunos aparatos combinados, es necesario configurar dos botones de selección del dispositivo diferentes para poder controlar ambas partes del aparato combinado.
El aparato que deseo poner en funcionamiento no responde en absoluto / no responde a todos los comandos de los botones. • C ompruebe si los botones que ha pulsado están disponibles en el mando a distancia original del aparato. • C orrija el funcionamiento de los botones. Consulte el capítulo 2.2.2. Se ha seleccionado un código incorrecto durante la configuración. • C onfigure el mando a distancia de nuevo para el aparato. Compruebe siempre si el aparato responde antes de abandonar el modo de configuración. Tal vez los botones que intenta utilizar tienen un nombre diferente en el mando a distancia original. • C ompruebe todas los botones para encontrar los que necesita. Pilas ¿Se borrarán mis ajustes al cambiar las pilas? No. Todos los ajustes de usuario se guardarán en el mando a distancia durante 5 minutos.
