Print Quality Problems
This section has information to help you resolve
print output quality problems.
Light Page
• Clean the laser mirror. (Refer to Chapter 8,
"Maintaining Your Printer.")
• Check to see if the toner is running low.
• Redistribute the toner. (Shake the toner
cartridge. Reinsert the toner cartridge and
print several pages.)
• The toner cartridge may need replacing.
• If the problem persists, the transfer unit may
need to be replaced. Contact NEC Printer

• Make sure the paper meets required
specifications.
Print Quality Problems
• A recent paper jam may have contaminated
the paper path. Run 20 blank prints to help
clear the paper path.
• The toner cartridge may be damaged and
need replacing.

•The paper path may be
contaminated. Open the
top cover, remove the
toner cartridge, and check for loose pieces of
paper jammed in the paper path. Remove the
paper and print several blank sheets to help
clear out the contamination.
