Service Cutting Unit
Groundsmaster 4100-D Models 30447 and 30449
Model No. 30451—Serial No. 310000001 and Up
Installation
Note: If the service cutting unit is to be used on a
Model 30411 or 30413 Traction Unit, the Deck Sensor
Kit, Part No. 119-5307 must also be installed on the
cutting unit.
1. Park the machine on a level surface, lower the cutting
unit to the floor, engage the parking brake, be sure
the traction pedal is in the neutral position and the
PTO is OFF. Shut the engine OFF and remove the
key from the switch
2. Remove the bolts securing the hydraulic motors to
the deck (Figure 1). Lift the motors off the deck and
lay them on a clean, out of the way, surface. Do not
damage aluminium couplers.

3. Remove the elastomeric spider from inside each
pulley coupler. Inspect for wear and replace if worn.
Otherwise, retain for re–installation on new deck
(Figure 2).

Note: Inspect spider hub for wear and replace if
worn (Figure 2).
4. Disconnect the hydraulic hoses from the wing deck
lift cylinders (Figure 3).
Important: When re–assembling the hydraulic
hoses to the lift cylinders, make sure the O–rings
are in place and the fittings are torqued to 17 to
19 ft–lbs.

Locate and unplug the cutting unit wire harness from the traction unit wire harness (Figure 4).
