1.
Remove the AC power
cord.
2.
Remove the
instrument top
cover. For Model
5315A,
Ihis requires removal
of
the
four
screws
accessible
from
cabinet
bottom.
For Model
5315B, loosen
the single screw
on the
top
center
of
t
he
rear
panel.
3.
Insert
the
A7 TCXO assembly,
wit
h components
fa
cing
to
the outside of the instrument, inlo

of
the
A1 Motherboard assembly.
4.
Secure
the
assembly by insta
lli
ng
the two
pozidrive
screws,
through
l-brackets
on A7,
to
the
Motherboard.
5.
Slide
the
motherboard
INT/
E
XT switch 53,
to the EXT pOSition (toward rear
of inSifumenl
).
6.
Replace
the top cover.
This completes the
installation of Option
001.

1.
Remove the
AC
power
cord.
2.
Remove
the instrume
nt
top cover
by
removing
the
four
screws
accessible from the cabinet
bottom.
3.
Position
the
bracket assembly,
with
A6 and
BTl
insta lled, onto
the
six mounting posts on
the
inside top
cover,
placing
the
charger
toward the front and the battery toward the rear
of
the
instrument. Secure with
six
press-on retainers supplied.
4.
Connect
J1
of the
A6
Cha rger assemby 14 to the
Al Motherboard
assembly
using
cable
harness
supplied
NOTE
Connectors on
this
harness are polarized; do
not
force
the
connector.
5.
Replace
the top
cover.
Th
is
completes the installation of Option 002.
