Installation Preparation Place the TV on a solid surface. For ventilation, leave a space of at least 5 cm free all around the set. To prevent any fault and unsafe situations, please do not place any objects on top of the set. Insert the aerial plug tightly into the aerial socket with an aerial cable of good quality.
Insert the 2 batteries supplied (Type R03G-1,5V). Click the cover back into place. The Philips batteries supplied do not contain the heavy metals mercury and cadmium. Nevertheless in many countries exhausted batteries may not be disposed of with your household waste. Please inform yourself on how to dispose of exhausted batteries according to local regulations.

Adjust the basic picture and sound settings with the Local Menu key Should your remote control be lost or broken you can still change some of the basic picture and sound settings. With DNR you can reduce the image noise and so improve picture quality when receiving weak signals. Open the door of the remote control. Press repeatedly to select DNR Min, DNR Med, DNR Max or DNR Off. DNR Med offers you optimum picture quality and is the usual setting for normal strength signals .

Switch screens Press The main screen and the pip screen exchange places. If the TV channel is only in the pip screen and not in the main screen, then use - P + of the pip keys in order to change your TV channel in the pip screen. Sometimes more than one subtitle page is available. For each TV channel you can store a subtitle page which will be displayed continuously if the programme being broadcast is transmitted with subtitles.
