Ensure that your computer is shut down and the AC adapter is disconnected. a. Hold <B> key on the keyboard and press the power button for 3 seconds or until the Dell logo appears on the screen. b. Press any key to continue.
Due to the increased density of semiconductors used in recent Dell products, the sensitivity to static damage is now higher than in previous Dell products. For this reason, some previously approved methods of handling parts are no longer applicable. Two recognized types of ESD damage are catastrophic and intermittent failures.
Transporting sensitive components When transporting ESD sensitive components such as replacement parts or parts to be returned to Dell, it is critical to place these parts in anti-static bags for safe transport.

Using a plastic scribe, pry the base cover from the top left and continue to work on the sides to open the base cover. 4.

Steps 1. Remove the M2x3 screw that secures the M.2 2230 solid-state drive with bracket from the solid-state drive slot. 2. Slide the M.2 2230 solid-state drive with bracket from the peg and lift it from the system board. 3. Remove the M2x1.8 screw that secures the M.2 2230 solid-state drive to the M.2 solid-state drive bracket. 4.
Steps 1. With the printed side of the solid-state drive facing up, align the screw hole on the M.2 2230 solid-state drive with the screw hole on the M.2 solid-state drive bracket. 2. Secure the M.2 2230 solid-state drive to the M.2 solid-state drive bracket with a M2x1.8 screw. 3.
