The motor/bladecontrolhandleis locatedon the upperhandleof the mower.See Figure7.The motor/bladecontrolhandleengagesand disengages the motorand blade.The motor/bladecontrolconsistsof threeparts- starterbutton,motor/bladecontrolhandle,and key. Releasethe motor/bladecontrol handleto stop the motorand blade. Removethe keyto preventaccidentalstartingwhenequipmentis unattended. The bladewill be rotatingwheneverthe motoris running.   • Page 11 CHARGING THE BATTERY Charge the mower for 14 hours before initialuse. Chargemower indoors ina dry area outof the weather.DO NOTchargein rain or wet locations. IMPORTANT:Useonly the batterychargerprovidedwith this mower (Part number725-04387). Plugthe batterychargerintothe mowerfirst,and then intoany standard110/120 volt householdelectricaloutlet.See Figure8 inset for batterycharginglocationon mower.

A lways wearsafetyglasseswhileoperatingthe mower,or while performing an ad ustmentsor re a rs on t. • Be surethat lawnis clearof stones,sticks,wires,or otherobjects whichcoulddamagethelawn moweror motor.Suchobjects couldbe accidentallythrownby the mowerin any directionand causeseriouspersonalinjuryto the operatorand others.
