Setting the Network preferences for a wireless
LAN
To connect to the Internet via a wireless LAN access point, you need to set up
the Internet connection.

Scanning for the wireless LAN access points

Tap V at the top right of the Preferences screen, and select
[Network].

Tap [V Service:], and select [Wireless LAN].

Tap [Details...].
The Wireless LAN Setup screen is displayed.

Tap [Scan].
The Connection Progress dialog box is displayed and your CLIÉ
handheld starts to search for wireless LAN access points.
If wireless LAN access point(s) are found, the ScanResult screen is
displayed with a list of the results.
A SSID
An SSID of a found wireless LAN access point is displayed.
Gray: When that SSID is not currently registered on your CLIÉ handheld.
Black: When that SSID is already registered on your CLIÉ handheld as a
B WEP (Encryption)
"*" is displayed when a WEP key is required.
