    Do not use the appliance if the plug, the mains cord or the appliance itself is damaged. If the mains cord is damaged, you must have it replaced by Philips, a service centre authorised by Philips or similarly qualified persons in order to avoid a hazard.

    English If the carpet (or part of it) merely requires freshening up, you do not need to apply a lot of shampoo. It is probably sufficient to only apply shampoo when you make the first stroke towards you. Then release the trigger and move the nozzle over the cleaned area a few times without applying shampoo.

    Press and hold the red lever to release the cardboard front of the dustbag (Fig. 53). Throw away the full dustbag and insert a new one (see chapter ‘Preparing for use’).     English Never use the appliance without the motor protection filter. Micro filter (specific types only) When you vacuum dry substances, the electrostatic micro filter purifies the exhaust air by removing minuscule dust particles. The effectiveness of the filter decreases gradually during use. Normally it suffices to replace the micro filter when you insert the first of a new set of paper dustbags.
