    DSL-300G ADSL Ethernet Modem User’s Guide About This User’s Guide This user’s guide provides instructions on how to install the DSL-300G ADSL Modem and use it to connect a computer or Ethernet LAN to the Internet. If you are using a computer with a functioning Ethernet port, you can use the Quick Installation Guide to quickly establish your ADSL connection and access the Internet.

The web configuration manager may be accessed using any operating system capable of running web browser software. Web Browser Any common web browser can be used to configure the Modem using the web configuration management software.

    The Modem is easy to install and use. The DSL-300G connects to an Ethernet LAN or single computer via a standard Ethernet interface. The ADSL connection is made using ordinary twisted-pair telephone line with standard RJ-11 connectors.

When selecting the location for the Modem, allow ample room to access the connections on the rear panel. For convenience, try to place the Modem near your computer so you can monitor the LED indicators.

    DSL-300G ADSL Modem User’s Guide Configuring the Modem for the First Time The first time you setup the Modem it is recommended that you configure the WAN connection using a single computer making sure that both the computer and the Modem are not connected to the LAN. Once the WAN connection is functioning properly you may continue change settings to suit your network.

From the Start menu on your desktop, go to click on Control Panel. In the Control Panel folder, click on Network and Internet Connections.
